About Us

Welcome

Nestled in the picturesque village of Mansonville, our small and vibrant elementary school offers a unique and personalized educational experience. This close-knit environment creates a supportive and nurturing atmosphere, promoting positive relationships and a sense of belonging. Close community connections facilitate a more holistic approach to education, addressing academic needs and social, emotional, and personal development.

Our Mission Statement

At Mansonville Elementary School, we nurture curious, compassionate, and confident learners in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment. Grounded in global-mindedness and strong community values, we empower every child to discover and develop their potential, take meaningful action, and grow into thoughtful contributors to their world. Through strong partnerships among home, school, and community, we foster lifelong learners who lead with heart, integrity, and a sense of purpose.

Our Vision

At Mansonville Elementary School, we envision a vibrant and connected learning community where every child feels a deep sense of belonging, discovers their unique strengths, and is inspired to make a difference. We aspire to cultivate resilient, empathetic, and responsible citizens who embrace diversity, think critically, act with courage and compassion, and approach the world with curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong desire to learn.

We Nurture, We Achieve, We Thrive.

Staff

MES Teachers and staff acknowledge that effective implementation of multi-age, multi-level classrooms requires skilled and flexible teaching practices. Teachers and paraprofessionals deeply understand the Quebec Educational Program for all cycles, allowing them to adapt and differentiate instruction, manage diverse student needs, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Students

MES students are better prepared for future social and professional interactions in diverse settings since they learn in a multi-age, multi-level classroom. There is less emphasis on comparing students based on age or grade level, creating a more inclusive and supportive learning environment. Students in multi-age, multi-level classrooms are often in flexible grouping for collaborative learning activities. Working with their peers at different skill levels promotes a sense of community, cooperation, and teamwork.

Parents

Our dedicated MES parents, community members, volunteer groups and the Governing Board join forces with our dedicated staff to contribute to the overall spirit of the school. Helping hands whenever needed, tutoring, coaching and ensuring that our students have the support they need.  We encourage our parents and community members to become more involved in their child’s education, as our emphasis is often on individual student growth. This increased involvement positively impacts the overall learning community.

School Time & Schedule

School Hours and Schedule

Arrival Time

Students arrive between 7:50 AM and 8:00 AM.

Punctuality is a valuable life skill; arriving on time helps our students develop this habit early on. Being punctual sets a positive precedent for other aspects of life, including work and social commitments.

Take note that some learning activities take place off school grounds. Late arrivals might miss out on these planned group learning activities.

Dismissal Time

The first dismissal bell is at 2:40 pm. Students have time to collect their personal items and prepare to leave the school at 2:45 pm.

Early Dismissal
If your child needs to leave before the end of the day, please advise the office beforehand. Teachers require a heads-up to ensure your child has all necessary items before leaving school. If someone else is picking up your child, please advise the office so we can update the school’s records accordingly.
