Our Nurturing Centres
Over the years we have created centres to support our population of learners. The overall purpose of our nurturing centres is to offer students a place to learn and grow surrounded by staff who are trained to work with diverse learners. Our centres allow us to look at students through a different lens and to provide an inclusive educational approach for them.
Homebase
Homebase provides support to students with diagnoses such as dysphasia, diabetes and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Many of our ASD students have prescribed time in the center and others use it as a quiet place to collect themselves before or after class time.
Oasis
Oasis offers behavioral support for students who are identified as having difficulty with social and emotional regulation. Many of our Oasis students have plans that incorporate time to develop strategies that will help them stay in class.
Pitstop
Pitstop is designed for students who need a quieter place to work with more attention for struggling academic needs.
