New Horizons (ETAGE)

New Horizons is one of the two campuses for the Eastern Townships Adult General Education (ETAGE), operating under the Eastern Townships School Board. Conveniently located in Sherbrooke, the centre welcomes adult learners aged sixteen and older who are looking to complete their high school education, upgrade their academic skills, or prepare for their next steps. It serves as a vital, supportive community hub where adult students can learn at their own pace.

At its academic core, the centre offers flexible pathways to help students obtain their high school diploma or secure the specific prerequisite credits needed to enter vocational training, CEGEP, or university. To support these goals, New Horizons provides secondary equivalency testing and targeted second-language courses in both English and French to help learners improve their communication skills for daily life and the workplace.

Beyond traditional classroom studies, the centre is deeply committed to social and socio-vocational integration. It runs specialized programs designed to ease the transition into the workforce and help individuals with developmental or intellectual handicaps build essential life and social skills. This comprehensive learning experience is further enhanced by practical on-campus resources, including a fully equipped science lab, a gymnasium and fitness room, and access to laptops to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.
