Transform your experience into a diploma!
This process in vocational training allows you to obtain recognition for competencies already acquired on the job or through life experience.
Get the official Ministry of Education of Quebec diploma or certification for the relevant program of study at the end of the process.

Have you already spent years working, volunteering, or learning skills outside of Canada, but don’t have the official diploma to prove it? The Recognition of Acquired Competencies (RAC) service is designed to evaluate and officially recognize the skills you have already mastered through life and work experience.
Instead of spending months sitting through classes to relearn what you already know, our RAC services let your background fast-track your future across two major pathways:

Adult General Education: Translate your prior life and academic experience into official credits. We evaluate your French prior learning and various spheres of competencies, and offer official equivalency testing like the General Development Test (GDT) and the Secondary School Equivalency Test (SSET). We also recognize practical skills obtained in semi-skilled trades to help you complete your high school equivalency faster.

Vocational Training: Skip the introductory modules of our specialized training programs. By proving you already possess the hands-on competencies required by the industry, you only study the missing pieces needed to graduate.
At the end of this personalized process, you will earn the exact same Ministry of Education diploma or certification as regular classroom graduates. Don’t start from scratch—let your experience work for you!
