School Elections

If you are not currently on the ETSB Electoral List and wish to be, or are currently on the list but wish to revoke the option regarding the exercise of voting rights, please fill the Notice to the English-Language School Board.

Electors – Who Can Vote?
How can a person know if he/she is registered on the list of electors? You may call the Director General of Elections at 1 888 353-2846.
Who may vote in the elections at the Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB)?
To be able to exercise your right to vote in the November 3, 2024 school elections, you must be registered on the ETSB list of electors and meet the following conditions on polling day:
– Be 18 years of age or over;
– Be a Canadian citizen;
– Be domiciled on the territory of the School Board and have been domiciled in Quebec for at least six months;
– Not to be under curatorship;
– Not be deprived of their election rights.
Be registered on the electoral list of the ETSB based on the following criteria: Having a child admitted to the Eastern Townships School Board.
In the case of an elector who has no children in a public school, having deposited a Notice of Choice to be added to the list of the Eastern Townships School Board.
PLEASE NOTE
A parent is therefore automatically on the list for the School Board if his/her child attends.
There is no direct link between voting and paying taxes to ETSB.
Forms for making a choice are available at the ETSB head office or by filling the Notice to the English-Language School Board.
