CPC – Central Parent Commitee

About the Central Parent Committee (CPC)
The Central Parents’ Committee (CPC) is the official advisory body at the school board level that represents parents; it plays a vital role as a bridge between local families and the administration. Composed of parent representatives officially elected to the Governing Board of each scool, the CPC ensures that the views of the local community directly influence educational decisions.
In addition to its advisory role on district-wide policies—such as budgets, school calendars, and student success plans—the CPC appoints parent commissioners who serve directly on the Council of Commissioners. Beyond its advisory functions, the committee actively encourages parent participation at the regional level, translates complex board decisions into clear information for local school communities, and serves as a valuable network for sharing best practices and information among different schools.
