Commitment-to-success Plan

Our roadmap for student success

The Commitment-to-Success Plan (CSP) is the Eastern Townships School Board’s strategic roadmap for improving student learning, well-being, and success.

Every school board and centre de services scolaire in Quebec develops a Commitment-to-Success Plan as part of the provincial education system. The plan reflects the unique identity, context, and priorities of each organization and establishes the goals and actions that will guide its work over a defined period.

Understanding where we are. Defining where we want to go. Measuring our progress.

The ETSB Commitment-to-Success Plan begins with a portrait of our schools, centres and communities. It considers factors such as student and staff demographics, graduation and certification rates, student outcomes, strengths, challenges, and the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

This information helps us identify where we can have the greatest impact and establish clear priorities for improvement.

The plan identifies:
🔹Strategic orientations and priorities that guide our work;
🔹Educational pillars and objectives that support student learning and success;
🔹Specific indicators and targets that allow us to measure progress; and
🔹Actions and strategies to help us achieve our goals.

The CSP is developed in alignment with the strategic directions and priorities of the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ) while remaining grounded in the realities and aspirations of our own students, schools, and communities.

A plan that comes to life through our schools and centres

The Commitment-to-Success Plan is more than a document. It provides a shared direction for our organization and serves as a foundation for planning and decision-making at the Board, school, and centre levels.

Through collaboration with our commissioners, administrators, staff, students, families, and community partners, we work together to turn our priorities into meaningful action and, ultimately, better outcomes for our students.

Commitment-to-Success Plan 2023-2027

2026–2027: Our final year of the current plan

With one year remaining in our 2023–2027 Commitment-to-Success Plan, we are focused on turning our priorities into impact – strengthening the actions that are making a difference and concentrating our efforts where they can have the greatest effect on student learning, well-being, and success.
